...You have Garth Turner suspended from caucus.
I can hear it now:
"Harper's a fascist control freak," or something to that effect. Lemmie check MyBlahg:
Yup. Like clockwork, he is!
Not like, say, Jack! Layton vis Bev Desjarlais, for example...
I know I'm not alone in saying that while I'm relatively tolerant of dissent in the Tory caucus, Turner was downright obnoxious. I don't care how much of a victim complex he has, whining about being placed in "Siberia" vis seats in the House, for example. Leftists love him because he's a Joe Clark figure: a "conservative" you can point to if you ever want someone to support your position to undermine Conservatives proper.
How do I feel on the matter? I'll leave you with this:
I guarantee you that leftists will look on this as a crushing of "dissent" as opposed to the kicking out of someone who repeatedly breaks the rules.
I'm not sure it was necessary to do this right now. I have a feeling the fallout will end up hurting the Tories more than would Turner's continued presence.

I think Garth, even though his heart was in the right place and probably wasn't aware of this, became "too big for his britches". MPtv and his tell all blog were great "initiatives" in theory, but he was sent there to be an MP for the riding of Halton, not a replacement for Mike Duffy and Warren Kinsella. ;-)
